Team Retreats - Dianna's Artwork

Here's another Tahoe Team Retreat layout -- this one is from the talented Dianna Morris.  She used the Christmas Village stamp set to create an awesome "Scrooge" layout for her daughter.  Dianna has a gift for using color to tell her story.  I absolutely love her color choices and combinations - they bring out the best in her photos.  And can I tell you she is the most organized retreater -- always has her layouts planned out and she gets more completed than anyone else.
Thanks for sharing Dianna!

Team Artwork- Pat Boswell's Christmas Tree

Sharing some team artwork this morning.  This beautiful Christmas tree was created by team member Pat Boswell.  Here's what she said, "This weekend I had a great time making this Christmas Tree from spare paper packs.  It was great fun!  I used hot glue for this project and five 12x12 sheets of paper, plus one white sheet for the snow flakes. I started with 2", then progressed ¼ of an inch all the way to the top.  A few rows were the same size.  I assume you could play with this to create even a larger bottom.  And decor the top any way you want.
The cricut  Artiste Cartridge was great to use.  I would guess using the new holiday paper, this would turn out even better.  Super Fun!  Just wanted to share."
Thanks so much for sharing Pat!  Love this tree!

Team Retreat Artwork

Our Team Tahoe Retreats are the best!!
All the quality time with friends creating, visiting and laughing together is food for the soul.  I so look forward to all our fun traditions and catching up with everyone.   And the artwork. . . it's just so inspiring to see all the projects and ideas!

Here is one of the layouts created by Suzanne Running.  I love the creative ways she 'tells the story' with her journaling and design.  I'm always inspired by the personal touches she adds to her artwork -- inking, doodling and using embellishments in unique ways.  Thanks for sharing Suzanne!

Here is one of the layouts created by Paula Lopez.  Paula has been creating fabulous scrapbooking paper piecings for as long as I've known her.  I love seeing all of her creations.  She has the best eye for detail and her piecings just make you smile.  Thanks for sharing Paula!

Oct SOM Scandinavian Wishes Samples

I've been playing with the October Stamp of the Month -- Scandinavian Wishes.
The details on these stamp images are just beautiful!  You can create cards and layouts fast and easy with this set -- several of the stamp images can be cut with our CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Huntington Fall Layouts -- November Club Kit

Here's our November club kit layouts made with the beautiful Huntington papers, Huntington Stickease and Rosewood Mini-Medleys.  The pumpkin was created using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge ovals and egg shape for the center of the pumpkin.  The leaves can be found on the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  Technique tip:  I also used the C1504 Fall Harvest stamp set to stamp tone-on-tone on the goldrush pumpkin pieces and leaves -- to create texture and depth on these pieces.  Technique tip:  I sponged Creme Brulee, Goldrush, Autumn Terracotta, Barn Red and Olive stamp pad inks for the title piece.  Wait a little for all the ink to dry and then stamp the title in Cocoa ink using the September SOM - Poster Tidings.

I still had some good pieces of the Huntington Stickease and Rosewood Mini-Medleys left over from the club layouts, so I added another Huntington paper packet and some Bronze Shimmer Trim to create these two layouts.

I couldn't wait to make this CTMH Cricut Artbooking Tree and coordinating floral piece.  I just love this tree!  Technique Tip:  Cut some extra leaf shapes out of the printed papers, Goldrush & Olive cardstocks --using the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy petal shape.  I used cocoa ink distressing and popped up some of the leaves in the center of the tree to give it even more dimension.
Have you noticed that a couple of the Huntington paper prints have gray in them?  I wanted to bring all the gray and cashmere colors together in one layout and add shine to it.  For the title, which was inspired by the song, I used my favorite new font - Framework Alphabet and Stardust Glitter Gel.
Enjoy!
